COVID-19 Contact-Tracing Solution

By | News, Uncategorized | No Comments

acticom provides the embedded software for the ok2open and ok2work COVID-19 contact tracing solutions.

The COVID 19 pandemic poses major challenges for companies. This will last even until after the Pandemic. Operational processes must be considered to find a “new normal” and to ensure the continuity of business activities. ok2work has therefore made it its business to support companies on their way to “a new normal” in a sustainable way without interfering extensively in operational processes. With ok2open, the same platform and software provides a slightly different approach that supports contact tracing during sports events, concerts, or in a museum.

ok2work – holistic pandemic management for enterprises

ok2open – smart contact tracing for visitors

Cooperation with major embedded systems vendor for IoT announced

By | News | No Comments

On MWC 2015 acticom announced a cooperation between acticom and a major embedded systems vendor for wireless sensor networks. Part of the cooperation is the integration of acticom’s new compression scheme and protocol stack software for the Internet of Things (IoT) and industrial applications. This is the starting point for a wireless multi-hop sensor network system for industrial grade measurement and control applications towards the Tactile Internet.

The acticom compression protocol stack software for IoT provides RFC6282 (6LoWPAN) compliant compression of IPv6 and UDP header information, plus RFC7400 defined Generic Header Compression (GHC) for IPv6 over Low-Power Wireless Personal Area Networks.

While RFC6282 allows for compression of IPv6 and UDP in IEEE 802.15.4 networks (6LoWPAN-HC). The GHC adds a “more general, form of compression for headers of any kind and even for header-like payloads such as those exhibited by routing protocols, DHCP, etc.”

The acticom team will be present at the booth in Hall #7, G21, right at Germany’s Capital Berlin Pavillion. We are available for private meetings during the MWC. Please make sure to schedule your meeting in advance by filling in our contact form or by sending an e-mail to your sales representative.

The first day of the Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona is almost over and we are very happy with it. Lot of good talks and interest in our latest technology development: IP Header Compression for Internet of Things (IoT), which allow the increase of payload of up to 50% with native IPv6, also for encrypted packets.

New Release of Robust Header Compression v2 (RoHCv2) ready to ship

By | News | No Comments

acticom today announced that it has finished the development of its new version of the protocol stack for Robust Header Compression v2 (RoHCv2).

RoHCv2 is the successor of RoHC. It does not replace or obsolete RoHC, but extends the basic set of compression profiles and is in fact a new compression scheme.

acticom provides, uncompressed, IP, IP/UDP, IP/UDP/RTP, IP/UDPlite, IP/UDPlite/RTP, and ESP compression profiles for IPv4 and IPv6. Required parameters can be controlled through a rich but simple API. Options to integrate the procol stack comprise statistics gathering, debugging and info modes for testing, logging capabilities, and always the option to work with acticom to fulfill specific requirements on platform, product, or even API for integration.
